UAV Control STations
U-FLY
The DLR multi-drone ground control station U-FLY is capable of creating four-dimensional trajectories in simulations and flight tests. Flight paths and the aircraft status can be monitored with regard to a multitude of aspects, such as safety, efficiency or mission objectives. Airspace classes and restrictions (ground to upper airspace) as well as aircraft types and performances can also be taken into account. On the basis of existing interoperability standards, U-FLY can be coupled to different types of UAS during a mission. U-FLY can thereby not only be used to plan and control the mission of an individual UAS, but also offers swarm management by the possibility of monitoring several UAS simultaneously. Interfaces and functionalities of a future U-space system support future UAS applications.
