The German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the National Aerospace Laboratory of the Netherlands (NLR) have extended their research cooperation in the area of Composite Structures for another two years until the end of 2016. As part of the collaboration production techniques for lightweight components are developed. Components of fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) are increasingly in use in aircraft and in the transport sector for environmentally friendly mobility. CFRP components reduce weight, fuel and thus CO2 emissions.
