Research and development for Air Traffic Management is key in bringing the necessary innovations into day-to-day aviation operations. DLR and NLR have combined their strengths in the ATM alliance AT-One to provide customer oriented solutions.
Since AT-One has also been selected as an Associate Partner to the SESAR Joint Undertaking now, we are encouraged to continue our research and development efforts for excellent ATM products and services.

How do you validate your ATM concepts to avoid expenses in the implementation and integration phases? AT-One will be present at the ATC Global 2012 to show the benefits of early validation using powerful simulation solutions.

At the event AT-One will show and discuss new approaches to ATM concept validation. Exemplary demonstrations of concepts and their validation with AT-Ones extensive simulation infrastructure will be continuously presented at our booth. Furthermore a seminar on “Integration of Remotely Piloted Aircraft into Civil Airspace” will be presented
by AT-One on Wednesday 12.00 hours in the Seminar Theatre.

New Video on UAS Integration Released

The European Space Agency (ESA) released on its website a video on SINUE, the research programm to integrate unmanned aircraft in civil airspace. AT-One is one of five European partner organisations which participates in the project. SINUE aims at paving the way for the future operational use of such aircraft in civil aviation.

AT-One Selected into Europe’s Key Aviation Research Program SESAR

This month sees AT-One winning a major contract with Europe’s premier aviation research program SESAR JU. AT-One was selected as a new “Associated Partner” into this joint undertaking. This move will enable AT-One and its members, Germany’s DLR and Netherlands’ NLR, to exploit their capabilities on the development of Europe’s air transport system and its research efforts for clean, safe and efficient aviation. AT-One’s main contribution will cover the fields of information management, airborne communication, navigation and surveillance systems as well as the integration of unmanned aerial vehicle into SESAR.

The SESAR JU is a pan-European initiative for standardization and coordination of all air traffic management activities, launched by the European Commission and EUROCONTROL. For the first time ever SESAR JU brings together everybody involved in Europe’s aviation: research institutions, service providers, national and international public authorities, industry partners and costumers. The research program will shape Europe’s air traffic over the next decades with its ambitious goals, such as the tenfold increase in security or the improvement of the environmental impact by ten percent.
