ISTaR
ISTaR is a working environment that provides developers and analysts access to risk analysis and safety information, models and tools. Main field of application is air transport, in particular accident risk models and tools for evaluation of safety aspects of existing and proposed new Air Traffic Management (ATM) procedures. It contains information, models and tools in the field of:

  • Collision risk analysis
  • Wake vortex risk analysis
  • External safety analysis
  • Navigation performance analysis
  • Causal safety analysis
TOPAZ
TOPAZ is an advanced accident risk assessment methodology that supports a scenario and Monte Carlo simulation based accident risk assessment of an air traffic operation. It addresses all types of safety issues, including organisational, environmental, human related and other hazards, and any of their combinations. The main aim of TOPAZ is to model accident risks that are related to advances in ATM. This is done in order to provide both qualitative and quantitative feedback to designers of advanced operations with respect to the main sources of unsafety as function of traffic and environment characteristics.

Accidents & Incidents database
At-One maintains an extensive database with worldwide recorded and reported air traffic related accidents and incidents. The database is a very important tool for studies into air safety in general and for quantitative analysis of the safety of air traffic operations.
